Associate Pastor Anne Lohrmann

Pastor Anne has been serving Phinney Ridge Lutheran Church since the fall of 2015. She grew up in the Eastern Washington town of Walla Walla, and is glad to be back to her home state after stints in Oregon, Wisconsin, and most recently Iowa, where she attended Wartburg Theological Seminary. Pastor Anne invites you to come to PRLC for the same reasons she is drawn to this place! It is a place where Scripture, ritual, music, and most of all – Jesus – are central. Anne focuses on telling the story of how, through Jesus and throughout all time, God keeps showing us that God’s love is for everyone. This is important for Pastor Anne, because as it turns out, she’s been in need of grace and mercy a time or two, and she needs a church where perfection is not a requirement! Anne loves being with people in their mundane everyday stuff, and in their holiest and most vulnerable times, such as birth or death. Pastor Anne most appreciates that PRLC is a community where faith is more than doctrine, rules, or words; but where together we strive to be curious, welcoming, and always open to where God’s Spirit is moving us. We do this in worship, in our small groups and classes, in our fun together, and in our efforts to serve God’s world however we can. In her personal life, Pastor Anne enjoys cooking (especially outside on the grill!), kitchen dance parties, road trips (especially to the ocean), and watching movies. She lives with her four children, Lydia, Charlotte, Nick, and Matthew, along with a menagerie of animals!
